You may have recently received a memo from NSW Touch regarding changes to the way affiliation fees are paid.
In the past, we collected your fees and paid a team fee to NSW Touch for each competition. However, NSW Touch has now implemented an annual individual player fee to align with the upcoming 2025 changes from Touch Football Australia (TFA).
Similar to TFA, NSW Touch has adopted a ‘one fee model,’ meaning everyone, regardless of age, will pay the same annual fee.
What does this mean for you?
– Regrettably, there will be an increase in the cost to play.
– While we strive to keep costs manageable, this change results in a 100% increase for juniors, which we cannot absorb.
– Please note that we have no control over these changes.
What do you need to do now?
– The registration process will remain unchanged.
– When you register for your first competition starting July 1st via MySideline, you will see three layers of costs:
– TFA (Touch Football Australia) | Annual Affiliation: $22
– NSW Touch | Annual Affiliation: $30
– Affiliate Competition Cost (Northern Beaches Touch Junior Comp): approx $115
For every subsequent competition in the same financial year, you will only be charged the competition cost.
What does this mean for your child?
To maximize value, encourage them to participate in more than one competition per year:
– Consider joining our Open Summer competition.
– Consider participating in our Open Winter competition.
