JUNIOR COMP UPDATES 11/8/2021
We have a had a few questions around our upcoming junior competition.
Like all of us on the NORTHERN BEACHES we are waiting to see when our lock down will end.
At this stage our competition will still be going ahead either on Friday September 11th OR October 16th. We will be closing registrations at the end of August. As you can appreciate there has to be a cut off for shirt orders, draws and all the other things that go with organising a competition.
If the lock down keeps being extended the options are below-
Later start date and catch up with rounds possible being played mid week and the season finishing in February/March 2022.
If parents register and our competition is cancelled we are happy to refund all teams.
If we start the season and play a certain amount of rounds there may be the option of a part refund. This will be announced when the competition officially kicks off.
IF YOU PLAYED TOUCH FOOTBALL LAST YEAR OR CURRENTLY PLAY RUGBY LEAGUE ON THE NORTHERN BEACHES YOU WILL HAVE A MYSIDELINE ACCOUNT. PLEASE USE THIS ACCOUNT DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. IF YOU HAVE LOST YOUR DETAILS ACCESS THE SUPPORT/HELP BUTTON TO RESET PASSWORDS OR FIND USER NAMES/EMAILS.
A FEW REMINDERS ON REGISTERING A TEAM-
There is a minimum and maximum amount of players required in each TEAM. Under 7s and 9s must have a minimum of 8 players registered and max of 9 players.
Under 11s to 17s must have a minimum of 9 players per team and a max of 11 players.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS– Must be invited to join a team, your unable to register as an individual. If you don’t have a team to join please email the club your details at the end of August and hopefully we will be able to find you a team that is short players.
Teams looking for players– If your team needs a few extra players please email us so we can pass on your details to any players looking for their ‘forever team’.
Player registrations are complete when you receive a confirmation email. If you dont receive one it means you haven’t hit the complete button or finished your registration.. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOU ENTER THE CORRECT EMAIL.
Please ensure you complete the ‘survey monkey Tshirt order form’ once you’ve registered your team-
Team managers DO NOT need to register as a coach the details we need are collected when you enter your team.
Entering a Team
If you have 4 or more players enter a team using the register a team link on the homepage of the website. Once you have entered your team you will receive a confirmation email. Follow the instructions on this email to send to your players: You can cut and paste links into social media and text group chats. You don’t have to use the fill in email feature. Players can also search for your team using the team finder link on the home page.
Wet Weather Policy
If there is a cancellation of games, teams will be sent an email and a post will be put on Facebook and Instagram.
Fields will be checked at 3.15PM for Juniors and Seniors.
Please pass this information onto your team mates so they are also aware of the wet weather policy.
ALWAYS assume touch is on unless you hear from the club about it being cancelled.
Phone calls or emails will not be replied to about wet weather – You can also access the wet weather line via the Northern beaches Council page.
We may have to cancel games once they have commenced due to extreme events such as heavy rain or lighting strikes. Once we make a decision that the rest of the games are cancelled, we will post the news on Facebook & instagram since that is our quickest form of communication.
